Professor Maryam Baraka Akor-Dewu is a scholar and educator in the field of Human Physiology, with a career spanning over two decades at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, having risen through the ranks to become a professor, which is a testament to her dedication, intellectual rigor, and leadership.
Her academic journey, rooted in Ahmadu Bello University, reflects a steadfast commitment to excellence. She earned her B.Sc, M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Human Physiology, laying a strong foundation. Her work spans critical areas such as oxidative stress, reproductive health, environmental physiology, and the impacts of substance exposure on physiological systems.
